Treatment of aluminum alloys per MIL-C-5541 CL 1 and 3A. All closed loop systems comply to EPA and Texas Natural Resource codes. The chemical conversion process is used on aluminum and aluminum alloy surfaces to provide protection against corrosion. In addition, the coating provides a better paint adhesion than it would on an uncoated aluminum surface.
There are two classes of conversion coating used at Jeff Bonner R & D, Inc:
- Class 1A - Used for maximum corrosion protection for painted or unpainted surfaces
- Class 3 - Used for protection against corrosion on aluminum parts that require lower electric resistance
The Conversion tanks are 73 gal. Capacity.
Tank dimensions: 7.5" x 125" x 20" deep
We are in compliance with the following specifications:
- MIL-DTL-5541 rev. F - Chemical Conversion Coatings on Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys
- MIL-C-81706 - Chemical Conversion Coatings on Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys
Chemical Conversion materials are purchased at Henkel Surface Technologies
